This course introduces you to the 4 primary entities which, when applied properly, will help you construct you’re your images and give them significantly improved impact. You will learn to recognize and how to incorporate them into your work – 12 basic Mechanical Elements, 12 primary Emotional Elements, 28 primary Tangible & Intangible Properties and 4 primary Technical Elements. Knowing and applying them, can change your photography forever.
1. WEEK 1 - The PrimerLearn the critical and all-important basic Elements & Properties which create a good image – The Container, A Primary Subject of Interest, Positive/Negative Space & Ratio, Container Dynamics…
Assignments: Create 8 images which show your understanding of these elements and their application for creativity.
2. WEEK 2 – Mass, Support, Proximity, Weight & Placement Learn about Primary Subject Mass, Supporting Subjects & Components, Element Proximity/Separation, Weight & Counterweight, Effective Primary Subject Placement…
Assignments: Create 4 images showing that you understand how to successfully and consistently recognize and apply these Elements and Properties.

4. WEEK 4 – Basic Finishing & Composition
Learn compositional rules of cropping subjects, scenes and components (Entrance / Exit Cut-Off), Objects of Distraction (physical and intangible), Principles of Perception, Definition of your perceived emotions and Presentation, differentiation of image sharpness, blur and diffusion...
Learn the Process of creating and composing a good image at the lens, long before you press the shutter.
Assignments: Create 4 images that show your understanding and application of finishing an image and a deeper understanding of the 3 Foundational Aspects of Art–Perception, Definition and Presentation: Putting It All Together. With this assignment you will apply the knowledge and experience you have gained throughout the course...
Each week you will submit images from the assignments. You and I will communicate directly via e-mail. I will critique each image and make you aware of both the good and what can be improved to strengthen each image.
Images will be uploaded to a private group and lesson website folder. You will be able to interact and communicate with other photographers and read all critiques, so that you can learn from the exchange of ideas.
After completing this course, Fundamentals of Photography – Level 2: Elements of a Good Image, you will have a solid and increased foundation on which to build and develop your skills as a photographer.

PROMOTION: First 50 registrations - $175. Afterwards - $225
Cancellation:A 50% refund will be given after the first lesson is released, if a written request for cancellation is received before the second lesson is released. No refunds allowed after the second lesson has been released. Photographers who cancel before the second lesson is released, may keep the first week’s lesson, but will not receive further lessons. Photographers who have paid in full, but do not complete lessons, will receive all lessons, but will receive critiques only for images submitted within the 4 week course time. No certificate of completion will be given, unless all assignments are submitted and the course has been completed within the 4 week time period.
